Vietnamese flan (bánh gan)

Recipe:
- 5 star-anises
- 1/2 cup palm sugar
- 4 tbsp water
- 8 eggs
- 4 tbsp condensed milk
- 1 and 1/4 cups coconut milk
- 2 tsp instant coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbs butter
Baking steps:
- Toast the star-anises
- Cook water, sugar, and toasted star-anises still simmer
- Gently beat the 8 eggs to a bowl through a filter
- Mix the warm liquid of sugar and star anises into the eggs through the filter
- Heat a mold at 450F in the oven for 10 minutes
- Melt the butter in the mold, then pour the cake mixture in
- Bake the mixture at 300F in the oven for 50 minutes
- Turn off the heat, let the cake cool down in the oven for 35 minutes
- Chill the cake in refrigerator for 4-8 hours
